This well illustrated book is a must for anyone planning a visit to Palestine. It covers in detail Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Territories of 48 (which include Galilee and the Negev) and the Golan Heights, with opening times and contact details. There are chapters on Palestine’s history, its arts, food, education, geography and economy, in fact all you would expect from any well-produced guidebook. The book is also a good read for those wanting to know the history of the area, ancient and modern, and the daily realities of Israeli Occupation. It is, naturally, very pro-Palestinian in its reporting.

Obtainable from Olive Co-op at at £21.50 including packing and postage in the UK, and £26 for posting worldwide. By cheque (payable to Olive Co-operative Ltd) and sent to Bridge 5 Mill, 22a Beswick Street, Manchester M4 7HR England).
