Christmas 2005Progress good but finance concern We feel very encouraged as we see the building going on. We have now finished the basement and the pillars of the ground floor are complete. We are about to put the ceiling on the ground floor. The Consultant engineer is working on the details of the finishing of the ground floor, which is going to be the functioning floor. We are doing our best to fund raise so that we can keep the Contractor and all his equipment at the site. We gratefully received donations from Jerusalem and Middle East Church Association, Good Friday Offering, Church Mission Society, Ireland, and the Australian Board of Mission. The Diocese also made a contribution so that we could keep on with the work. We are knocking many other doors so that we can finish the project by 2006. Expert medical staff needed too We are encouraged that Sandra Strauss, a registered nurse and midwife from Australia, will be coming to work in the Project to train Egyptian nurses, and also to give a hand at Harpur Memorial Hospital in Menouf. We are still looking for a good Director for this Project. We appreciate your support and prayers as we seek funds to complete the work and also experts in the area of Family Medicine, Community Health and Administration.
