The Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa has been thanked for including al Ahli Hospital in his itinerary on a visit to Gaza.
Apart from the hospital the Patriarch visited sites where Catholic Relief Services are operating. He was able to tour the tents of displaced families along the Gaza City seafront, where he was briefed on the humanitarian and health situation. At the Hospital he met with staff and heard how they have persevered in their healing ministry amidst shortages in medical supplies and damage to several of the hospital's buildings.
