Election of the Coadjuctor Bishop of the Diocese of Egypt

The Bishop in Egypt with North Africa and the Horn of Africa, Bishop Mouneer Anis, has formally announced the dates and process for election of the Coadjuctor Bishop of the Diocese of Egypt, in preparation for his retirement.

20th February – 4th March: receiving nominations

4st – 10th March: examining the proposed candidates

12th – 18th March: receiving any complaints from excluded proposed candidates

19th – 24th March: examining the complaints

25th March: announcement of the final list of candidates and candidate CVs sent to all members listed in the Electoral Roll.

21st – 23rd April: Electoral Synod will meet in Cairo to elect the Coadjuctor Bishop.

According to the Diocesan Constitution, the Nomination Committee will be chaired by Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, the Area Bishop of the Horn of Africa, and members of the Committee will be: Archdeacon Emad Basilious, Reverend Steven Griffin, Dr. Hoda Gindi, and Chancellor of the Diocese, Mr. Fouad Michael.
