Jerusalem Leaders send a muted Happy Easter

The Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem have issued their customary Easter Message

This year special mention is made of the congregation of St Porphyrios Orthodox Church, and the Catholic Church of the Holy Family in Gaza,  refuges for many; and also of the staff of Al Ahli Anglican Hospital. The message notes that this year Easter is celebrated on the same day by Churches of both east and west, and that this coincides with the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, the first so-called Ecumenical Council of the as yet undivided Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. And so the message ends with a call for unity. The text is below.
