Archbishop Michael Lewis was in Bahrain for two joyous events at St Christopher's Cathedral this weekend.
During a special service on 7th March before the cathedral congregation the Revd Harrison Chinnakumar, priest in charge at Holy Trinity in Dubai, was installed as Canon at St Christopher’s Cathedral. The service was well attended with many staying afterwards to wish Canon Harrison well in his continued faithful ministry in the diocese.
The Archbishop also dedicated a multi-purpose building on 7th March, which had recently been constructed on the compound of St Christopher’s Cathedral. The building will provide a base and space to expand the ministry to the parish by offering rooms for children’s education, ecumenical and multi-faith meetings, a charity centre and additional worship rooms for guest congregations.
There was much to celebrate and the members of the congregation are expectantly looking forward to the expansion of their ministry opportunities.
