After several years of waiting due to the Covid19 pandemic, it was with great joy that the clergy of the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East and their spouses were finally able to come together in Amman for their conference. Dr Clare Amos, Director and Trustee of JMECA attended the conference as our representative.
The conference took place alongside the Dead Sea in Jordan, from 25th to the 27th April 2022, and was followed by a meeting of Provincial Synod on 28-29 April.
The Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East spans Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan along with Iraq, Yemen & all the Gulf States. The theme for the conference was "Stronger Together" and included talks and Bible study to inspire and challenge the attendees, who also shared stories of steadfast faith and creative mission in areas where Christians are vulnerable for various different reason.
We are hard pressed but not defeated. Christ is risen indeed!
