The ladies of St. Peter’s in Beir Zait and St. Andrew’s in Ramallah hosted a celebration of women on Mothering Sunday, under the patronage of Archbishop and Mrs Naoum at St. Peter’s home in Beir Zait
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Rev’d Fadi Diab and Mrs Ruba Gammoh Diab invited his Grace Bishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, and Mrs Rafa Qafiti Naoum to participate in a special event for the ladies of the St. Peter’s Church in Beir Zait, and St. Andrew’s Church in Ramallah on Friday March 24th, 2023, at St. Peter’s home next to the Church in Beir Zait.
The event was very well attended and guests included Mrs Diana Al Sayej, the Mayor of Beir Zait, along with the ladies and vestry members of both parishes. The day included a wonderful breakfast along with hymn singing and biblical reflections, and a splendid cake was made specially for the celebration.
Mrs Diab gave a welcoming speech, and Rev’d Diab welcomed Bishop and Mrs Naoum and all in attendance.
Mrs Naoum expressed her joy to participate in such events and wished joy and prosperity to all. Bishop Naoum praised such events, which
empower women and strengthen their ministry in the church and the community
He also thanked the ladies of St. Peter’s Church for their hospitality and welcome and wished all a blessed Mother’s Day.
Following the speeches, Rev’d Fadi Diab and Mrs Lulu Aranki Nasser presented a gift to Bishop and Mrs Naoum to take back to Jerusalem on behalf of the congregation.
