Following the announcement from the UK government that those who can should work from home, the decision was made to temporarily reduce the office based staff to one. Our administrative assistant will be working from home whilst Shirley Eason, the administrator, will split her hours between the office and working from home as necessary. Where possible, please contact us via email. Post and messages will be dealt with when Shirley is in the office but there will inevitably be a delay to our response.
It is important to us that we continue the work of JMECA through this difficult time because the Christians in the Middle East need us more than ever (see report below).
We are particularly concerned that this pandemic will significantly impact the donations we receive this year from the Good Friday Offering as these services may not go ahead or will be significantly less well attended as congregations practice social distancing. This is our one major annual fundraising appeal therefore we ask that as individuals or churches to please support the Good Friday Offering appeal for the Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East even if you cannot attend an Easter service this year.
